Kunitsuokami Shrine ⛩️ 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Kunitsuokami Shrine on Iki Island The deities worshipped are Susanoo-no-Mikoto Oonamuchi-no-Mikoto Inadahime-no-Mikoto Founded in 811. It is said that when Susanoo-no-Mikoto returned from a tour of Korea, he arrived at Gonoura in Iki Province and built a shrine there. It is located on a slight hill, and a portable shrine is kept in the shrine building! The lion dogs are made by Yamauchi Rihei, who is said to be a master craftsman of Iki. You can get a goshuin (red seal) at the shrine office, which is a 15-minute walk from the shrine.
