Chengkan 2 Days 1 Night｜A Feng Shui Ancient Village Illuminated by Fish Lanterns

Workers from Shanghai chose a leisurely 2-day, 1-night trip to Chengkan this time, fully exploring the Chengkan Scenic Area! · A 30-minute taxi ride from Huangshan North Station, and since it’s autumn holiday season, we booked a homestay inside the scenic area a month in advance. Lunch was at Ouyuan, enjoying stinky mandarin fish. In the afternoon, we visited Wukan Bagua Fort and were mesmerized by the beautiful reflections on Yongxing Lake. At 4 PM, we went to "Tea Under the Pavilion" to drink Osmanthus Mao Feng tea, paired with Wang’s baked flatbread, crispy and flaky. In the evening, the fish lantern parade took place. Despite the autumn holiday crowd, it was livelier, with lanterns reflecting on the blue stone slabs, like stepping into a Huizhou version of Spirited Away. · The next morning, we got up early to visit Huayinxu Coffee ☕. The iced Americano was very good, paired with Luo’s Osmanthus fermented rice wine next door, sweet to the heart. · 【Tips】 Although Chengkan is not large, it has many alleys and numerous ancient buildings. It’s recommended to find a local auntie to give a guided tour. If staying in a homestay, you can ask the host for recommendations. Walk slowly and take photos slowly. 2 days and 1 night is just right to capture both the autumn colors and romance.
