Lei Yue Mun Sam Ka Tsuen: Located in the southeastern part of Kwun Tong District, Lei Yue Mun is a village with a history of 150 years, one of the thirteen villages in Kowloon. It is near Yau Tong and Lei Yue Mun. In 1963, the government developed the area around Sam Ka Tsuen. In 1975, Sam Ka Tsuen was demolished, and today the Sam Ka Tsuen Playground area is used as the Sam Ka Tsuen Resettlement Area. Most of the residents here are very warm and friendly. 😊 Lei Yue Mun Quarry: The Lei Yue Mun Quarry has a history of over 200 years. Before the local fishing industry developed, it was one of the "Four Hills" along with Ngau Tau Kok, Sai Tso Wan, and Cha Kwo Ling, where quarries were developed separately. It ceased operation after 1967 and was converted into a seafood area. The quarry area is covered with lush green grass, attracting many people to check in and take photos. On one side is the quarry hill, on the other side is the sea, and in the distance, you can see the Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge. The scenery is superb. Along Lei Yue Mun Seafood Street, walk along the seaside, keep walking past the mural village, past the handwritten quarry sign 🪧, through narrow alleys, and follow the path to the end to reach the quarry. 🪨 💚💚💚 In summer, there are many mosquitoes on the grass here. It is recommended to wear long pants or long skirts and bring mosquito repellent. 💚💚💚 The walk from Lei Yue Mun Seafood Street to the quarry endpoint is quite a distance, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
