Recently, I went to Chaozhou with my sisters and had a lot of marinated dishes. After seeing our photos, my parents were eager to visit Chaozhou too, but unfortunately, we don't have enough vacation days. So, we decided to take them to this Chaozhou restaurant in Hong Kong for a nice dinner. . As soon as we sat down, they served us Kung Fu tea. After two cups, we felt completely refreshed. . After looking at the menu, we ordered: - Sliced Goose $168 - Stir-fried Kale with Dried Fish $138 - Chilled Pork Trotters $128 - Minced Pork and Oyster Congee $198 - Sweet Taro Paste with Ginkgo $48 - Green Bean Soup with Clear Heart Balls $48 . The sliced goose was tender and juicy, paired with the restaurant's homemade vinegar sauce, making it rich but not greasy. Even my picky parents were satisfied. . The stir-fried kale with dried fish looked like an ordinary dish but had a unique flavor that you can't get at home. The dried fish added a salty aroma, and the kale was perfectly crispy. Even I, who usually don't like vegetables, ate a lot. . The chilled pork trotters were refreshing, like eating salty jelly, quite special and full of collagen. The minced pork and oyster congee was light and sweet, with a hint of oyster flavor. Both the oysters and minced pork were generously portioned. . The two desserts had very different feels. The taro paste was creamy and rich, while the green bean soup with clear heart balls was mildly sweet, clear, and refreshing.
