The Foodie Explorer

Hong Kong Hotspot: M+ Museum of Visual Culture

Took my parents to the newly opened museum on Friday, which cost nearly 22 billion Hong Kong dollars to build. Due to the crowd in the exhibition halls, we quickly stopped by to view the exhibits before heading to the members and sponsors only dining club on the 11th floor🍴. There, we could admire world-class contemporary art pieces and designs up close, in a tranquil and comfortable environment, and also enjoy the beautiful scenery of both sides of Victoria Harbour. In the future, it could become a resting spot for friends and family to engage in artistic and cultural activities within the museum or the West Kowloon Cultural District. After a satisfying meal, we went down to explore the various exhibits and facilities of the museum. Since it had been less than a week since its opening, many facilities were not yet operational. However, from the operational exhibition halls and the scale of the collections, it is evident that the Hong Kong government is indeed ambitious in transforming the West Kowloon Cultural District, including M+, into a world-class comprehensive cultural venue. With the expected opening of the Hong Kong Palace Museum in the middle of next year, along with the launch of M+, the district is set to become a fusion of ancient and modern styles. It is believed that in the future, it will not be difficult for the area to become a new highlight for artistic and cultural venues in Asia and the world
