The world-famous East Dam of Hong Kong High Island Reservoir

There are many geological parks in Hong Kong that are worth visiting. This time I went to the East Dam of the High Island Reservoir located in Sai Kung Eastern Country Park. It is famous for its volcanic rock columns listed by UNESCO. I saw the weathering phenomenon of the rock columns over billions of years and it is the wonder of nature. There are many natural sights worth visiting near the High Island Reservoir, such as Long Kee Bay, Biao Jianjiao, Po Bian Chau, Jian Zhu Wan, etc. You can also sign up at the Volcano Exploration Center and join a half-day tour of Dongba. In terms of transportation, you can take a bus or drive to Pak Tam Chung and then transfer to the 9A minibus or taxi.
