Eat in Kwun Tong | MG Cafe | 6-course dinner with delicious dishes

#Wofuandshrimpcakes After visiting Kwun Tong Promenade on a weekend, I went to MG Cafe opposite for dinner. We ordered the six-course dinner (from $338), with the option of eight-course (from $428) or ten-course (from $528) options. The French appetizers include salmon tart and tuna roll, which are exquisitely presented. Following the staff's suggestion, I put the whole salmon tart into my mouth to experience the rich taste. The bottom of the tart was crispy like spring roll skin, and the salmon was seasoned with lemon juice, which had a refreshing taste. The tuna paste has another taste, with a prominent green onion flavor. The appetizer of French baked blue crab meat with salted egg yolk was served hot and spicy. The blue crab meat was generous in portion and the salted egg yolk flavor was strong but not too salty. Just looking at the beautiful appearance of the second appetizer, you have no idea what it is. Under the apple foam were pickled Hokkaido scallop sashimi and sea urchin. I was so busy eating the waffles and shrimp cakes that I forgot to take a picture of the big piece of super fresh and sweet sea urchin. The soup is made with cauliflower, and roasted cauliflower and chopped hazelnuts are added to make the smooth and thick soup more colorful, which is a pleasant surprise. The fourth dish was pasta, and the waffles were made with hand-made Sardinian gnocchi in a seafood sauce with shrimp and cherry tomato sauce. The gnocchi had a chewy texture, the shrimp was refreshing and springy, and the cherry tomato was sweet. The traditional carbonara with shrimp cakes has a cheese aroma, and also has the salty aroma of egg and bacon. It has a rich taste and the sauce is not too thick or greasy. It’s time for the main course. Let’s start with the signature roasted three-yellow chicken. The chicken skin is roasted into a golden color, thin and crispy, and the chicken meat is tender and smooth, worthy of being a signature dish. The side dish of black truffle mashed potatoes is also excellent. Another main course was Australian lamb chops and lamb saddle (additional $70). The presentation was clearly well thought out, and both the lamb chops and lamb saddle were of very high quality, with just the right amount of mutton flavor and not greasy. For drinks, you can choose between Americano or Honey Lime. Both the waffles and shrimp crackers can be paired with Honey Lime, which is both hydrating and aids digestion. The dessert is chocolate cake with mango ice cream. The chocolate cake has a double taste, with a rich chocolate flavor and moderate sweetness.
