Eat in Wan Chai. The Oyster House

Waffles was having dinner with her bestie, who suggested going to The Oyster House in Wan Chai so that she could satisfy her two wishes of eating oysters and Italian cheesecake at the same time. The Seafood Platter ($199) has two #freshair-shipped oysters, four New Zealand mussels, two Hokkaido scallops, two French golden snails and two Japanese-style boiled abalones. All the seafood is very fresh and the boiled abalone is tender and tasty. It is worth mentioning that the Seafood Platter is only 99 yuan on Mondays and Tuesdays (except the eve of public holidays), which is more cost-effective. When we arrived at The Oyster House, we had an all-oyster feast. We even chose the Hiroshima Oyster Crispy Parma Ham Rice Pasta ($199) for pasta. It was my first time eating rice pasta. The taste was good, the sauce ratio was just right, and the pepper flavor was strong. The only flaw was that the Parma ham was not strong enough. Later, I added four baked oysters ($129), two of each of two flavors: bacon cheese and spinach cream. They were baked on order and were served very hot, so be careful not to burn your mouth. The baked oysters are of very high quality, and both look and taste great. Afterwards, Waffles and Runmi asked the waiter to help them select half a dozen oysters. They did not listen carefully to the waiter's introduction, but only tasted them slowly in a clockwise direction starting from the smallest one. The oysters were very fresh and plump, which was really satisfying. When it’s dessert time, the Italian cheesecake ($89) is served in a cup, with a soft and smooth texture and a rich coffee flavor. The dessert of the day ($99) was Rhubarb Crumble, which looked attractive enough. I had never tasted a dessert made with rhubarb before, and it was very fresh, with the rhubarb having a sour taste. Paired with strawberries, ice cream and Crumble, it had a rich texture and flavor that was unforgettable. The Oyster House Address: Shop C, G/F, 154 Jaffe Road, Wan Chai #foodie
