Hanroku Garden is the residence of the Nakano Hanroku family, a famous family that prospered in the shipping and brewing industries during the Edo period. It is located along the Handa Canal and is open to the public free of charge. The garden is also magnificent, and is a stroll-style Japanese garden. It is said that it used to be a "tide-filled garden," drawing in seawater and causing the water level of the spring to rise and fall according to the tides. There are three entrances, on the west, east, and south, and you can visit from any direction. It's definitely worth a visit.
