This time I specially chose a rainy day, and unexpectedly saw a different kind of scenery. The round-trip ticket costs 25 euros, and a one-way ride takes about 15 minutes. Although visibility is affected on rainy days, it has a unique atmosphere. ⛏ Salt Mine Adventure: After getting off the cable car, it’s a 10-minute walk to the world’s oldest salt mine (Salzwelten Hallstatt). The mine tunnels maintain a temperature of about 8 degrees Celsius year-round, so remember to bring a jacket! You can experience the miner’s slide, which is super thrilling~ 📍 Postcard Viewpoint: Don’t rush to go down the mountain after visiting the salt mine! The town’s iconic postcard angle is right next to the mine, and the misty town looks truly like a fairyland✨ 🛥️ Boat Tour Guide: After descending, be sure to take a boat tour on the lake (operating until 5 PM in summer). The colorful wooden houses by the lake look especially romantic in the mist and rain.
