Qianling Mountain, Qianling Lake, Qilin Cave

Guiyang is located in central Guizhou Province, bordering Anshun City to the southwest, Zunyi City to the north, and Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture to the southeast. It has an average elevation of 1,100 meters. The main rivers are the Nanming River and Mengjiang River, and the main artificial lakes are Hongfeng Lake and Guanshan Lake. Humans have lived here for 30,000 years. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to the Han Dynasty, it belonged to the ancient Yelang Kingdom. During the Han Dynasty, Zangke County was established. Famous attractions include Jiaxiu Tower and Qingyan Ancient Town. Qianling Mountain Park is located in the northwest of the central area of Guiyang City. It is named after Qianling Mountain, which is known as the first mountain in southern Guizhou. It is a comprehensive park integrating natural scenery, cultural relics, folk customs, and entertainment. The park has continuous mountains and valleys, with undulating terrain and small relative height differences. The elevation is between 1,100 meters and 1,396 meters. Among them, Daluo Ridge is the highest, and it is the highest peak in the northwest of the central area. The park has Hongfu Temple Scenic Area, Qianling Lake Scenic Area, Qilin Cave, Qixing Lake Scenic Area, and Monument Square. It integrates mountains, forests, springs, caves, lakes, temples, and animals, especially monkeys. This time I came to Guiyang and stayed at Sofitel Guiyang Hunter for three days and two nights. I visited Qianling Mountain Park, Jiaxiu Tower, and Cuiwei Garden. On the second morning, I took a taxi from the hotel to the Guizhou Provincial Museum. In the afternoon, I took a taxi to Qianling Mountain Park. I walked to Qilin Cave first. Because there are stalactites in the cave that look like a Qilin, it is also called Qilin Cave. The patriotic generals Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng were successively imprisoned here by Chiang Kai-shek. A cultural relics exhibition room for Generals Zhang and Yang was set up here. Then I went to the zoo in Qianling Mountain Park. Along the way, there were often monkeys playing and foraging. I walked all the way to Shengquan Liuyun and Qianling Lake. I had a great time. I will come to Guiyang again if I have the chance.
