Travel Itinerary and Expenses in Baoji (Part Four)

Yesterday and the day before, I visited Taibai Mountain and Honghe Valley. There is only one place left in Baoji that I want to visit - Famen Temple! However, while checking the travel guides, I found a one-day tour from Xi'an to Famen Temple and Qianling, which is more cost-effective than going by myself, and it also includes Maoling. With no choice, I got up early to wash up! We gathered at 6:50, picked up other tourists for an hour, and then had an hour's drive. By 8:50 in the morning, we arrived at Maoling! Maoling is the tomb of Emperor Wu of Han from the Han Dynasty, one of the emperors I admire the most! His two generals, Wei Qing and Huo Qubing, expanded the territory, defeated the Xiongnu, and took the Hexi Corridor, creating the map of the Han Dynasty! Visiting Maoling, I also learned a lot of gossip about him, from how he became the crown prince to how many wives he married. I listened with great interest! After leaving Maoling, the next stop was Famen Temple, a 5A scenic spot that enshrines the true relics of the Buddha and has always been a royal temple! Famen Temple looks grand from the outside, with a Buddhist ambiance all the way. Taking a small train, we entered from the Foguang Gate and went all the way to the Hezhisharita Pagoda, where we could see the Buddha's bone relics! After coming out, you can visit the Famen Temple Museum to see some items unearthed from the underground palace and the stories behind them! The underground palace is no longer open now! After visiting Famen Temple, we went to the last scenic spot, Qianling. This is the only joint tomb of two emperors in China, Li Zhi and Wu Zetian! They also included the Yide Prince's Tomb, where you can see the scale of burials at that time and the structure of the tomb chamber! At Qianling, they focused on introducing Wu Zetian's rise to power and her story after death, why there is a stele without inscriptions, and why the terracotta warriors in the tomb have no heads! You can listen to these stories to understand the concept of gender equality in China at that time! After finishing, we returned, and I got off directly at Sajin Bridge, where there is a food street. You can stroll around in the evening; there are many delicious foods!
