#Church ⛪️The bone church is the highlight of this trip to Evora. It is located in the off-white St. Francis Catholic Church. The church was built in the 17th century. Later, a half-blind monk turned 5,000 corpses buried in the church cemetery due to the Black Death or war into decorative artworks, which became the bone church we see today. The scale of this bone church is obviously smaller than the one I saw in the Czech Republic before. It is more simple and you will be scared if you approach it suddenly. However, foreigners do not think these bones are scary, but rather have a sense of nostalgia. The entrance to the Church of Bones has a big sign "Nós ossos que aqui estamos pelos vossos esperamos", which means our bones are waiting for your bones here, so cool👍 Evora is a very small ancient city, and a large section of the ancient city wall is still preserved.
