The Edinburgh Royal Mile

If there is somewhere that you should not miss when visiting Edinburgh, it is definitely the Royal Mile. It is not just a straight road but a succession of streets in the Old Town of Edinburgh and runs between the Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace (the two royal residences). Other than being a lovely area for shopping mainly aimed at tourists, the Royal Mile is also very historical. You can find many interesting monuments and statues here. I personally love the Adam Smith statue. Try looking for it! The busiest time of the year would definitely be in August when the whole city is preoccupied with the Edinburgh International Festival. #ediinsider #scotland
