Afterward, I ventured to Arthur’s Seat, the ancient volcanic peak that towers over the city. The hike was invigorating, and the view from the summit was spectacular—a full sweep of Edinburgh’s medieval and modern architecture against the backdrop of the surrounding countryside. Finally, I wandered through the vibrant city center, with its cobbled streets and historic sites blending seamlessly with lively shops and cafes. The Royal Mile, in particular, buzzed with activity, embodying the city’s unique mix of past and present.
