Mashangqiao Flower Hall

Mashangqiao Flower Hall is located in Mashangqiao, Zhenxi Village, Huxi Town, Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province. It is also known as "Yijingtang". It was the residence of local wealthy businessman Lu Fujin. It was built between the 25th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty and the 10th year of Daoguang (1820-1830) and covers an area of ​​1,797 square meters. Mashangqiao Flower Hall faces south and has four courtyards. It has a construction area of ​​2,793 square meters and a "Q"-shaped floor plan. On the central axis are the gatehouse, front hall, middle hall, and back hall. The main feature of the Mashangqiao Flower Hall is wood carving decoration, which integrates brick carving, piled sculpture, and light color ink painting. It represents the style characteristics of Dongyang wood carving architecture from the Jiaqing to Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, and is an outstanding representative of Dongyang wood carving architecture. On March 5, 2013, Mashangqiao Flower Hall was announced by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
