Red Army Long March Expo City

Hengdian Red Army Long March Expo City is located in Bayi Village, Hengdian Town, Dongyang City, Jinhua City. It is the largest large-scale patriotic education base in China, built with the background of the 25,000-mile Long March of the Central Red Army. The Expo City was built in 2004 and officially opened on October 1, 2005. It is a large-scale comprehensive park integrating red tourism, national defense education, militia training, team building, leisure and entertainment, and military-themed film and television shooting. The Expo City reproduces more than 40 historical scenes such as breaking through the blockade line, the Battle of Xiangjiang, breaking through the Wujiang River, the Zunyi Conference, the Four Crossings of Chishui, the Yi Sea Alliance, the Flying Capture of Luding Bridge, crossing the snow-capped mountains and grasslands, the reorganization of Bangluo Town, and the victory meeting in Wuqi Town, based on the historical facts of important meetings, major events, and major battles experienced by the Central Red Army during the Long March, using detailed information and physical display methods, condensing and reproducing the difficult and tortuous 25,000-mile Long March of the Red Army. Through artistic project design and creativity, the Expo City attracts audiences with a new visual perspective, built according to the mountain terrain, with foresight, appreciation, fun, participation, knowledge, and education, and is an important window to display the landscapes along the Long March, reflect major events and battles of the Long March, and the heroic achievements of the Red Army soldiers. ⏳Visiting time: Tickets are required, priced at CNY 80, and the visiting time is 2–4 hours.
