Datong Homestay | So Grateful I Chose "YANN Yiyan"

When it comes to choosing between hotels and homestays for travel, I've always leaned more towards hotels. Firstly for safety reasons, and secondly because hotels at least have some hygiene standards, while homestays can be hit or miss (PTSD from past experiences???). ...... During my three-day, two-night trip to Datong, I initially booked "Orange Crystal" outside the ancient city for the first night, thinking I'd have flexibility to change if uncomfortable (Orange Crystal was great too—clean and cozy). · I'm incredibly grateful I gave myself the chance to discover "YANN Yiyan". ▶️ YANN doesn't do much online marketing, so I stumbled upon it by chance. Its uniquely niche style in Datong even made me a bit hesitant at first. Later, I searched on 🍠 and ultimately chose it because of its super distinctive aesthetic! (Most importantly, the owner's personal charm convinced me—someone so stylish must have impeccable taste and high standards for their space!!!!) · It did not disappoint! 1⃣️ Design Though homestays abound in Datong's ancient city, YANN's style is truly one-of-a-kind. A designer was specially hired to plan it, and the materials used all have stories behind them! Every room and common area has its own unique flair. Imagine how wonderful it’d be to spend a rainy day here! 2⃣️ Thoughtful Service Fresh fruit greeted us upon arrival—such a blissful treat in the scorching heat! The souvenirs—a super delicate little mirror, plus tissues and sunscreen—were lifesavers for travelers! 3⃣️ Luxurious Bedding The mattress, linens, and pillows! Hands down the most comfortable I've experienced in any hotel or homestay. I’d buy the entire set for my future home!!!! 4⃣️ The Stunning Owner A homestay’s success hinges on the owner’s taste! Her commitment to quality is YANN’s greatest asset. After breakfast, the owner took heartfelt photos for us, encouraging us even when we felt awkward. Though we’re both camera-shy, we left with cherished keepsakes! · I have endless praise but struggle to put it into words!!! Just know—this stay was so exceptional I’d blindly recommend it to anyone. Wishing the amazing owner ever-growing success! I’ll definitely return to try other rooms~ · My photos don’t do it justice—the real experience is far more breathtaking! ·
