Fengqi Mountain, located in Jiezi Town, Chongzhou, Sichuan, is 63 kilometers away from Chengdu and has an altitude of 1,100 meters. "Guangyan Zen Temple" is commonly known as the ancient temple, which means an ancient temple hidden in the deep mountains. It began in the Jin Dynasty. According to legend, Emperor Wen of Jin granted 36 temples to Qingcheng Mountain, and the ancient temple was the largest one among them. It was originally named "Changle Temple" and Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty bestowed a plaque with the words "Guangda Yanming" on it. It was destroyed during the reign of Emperor Wuzong of the Tang Dynasty, and rebuilt by Monk Shansi in the fifth year of Emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty (864 AD). It was renamed "Changle Temple" and had more than 3,000 monks. It was called "Cuiwei Temple" during the Song Dynasty. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, in order to avoid the taboo of the word "乐", King Zhu Chun of Shu requested that the temple be named "Guangyan Zen Temple", commonly known as "the ancient temple". The "Hongwu Nanzang" belonging to the temple is the only copy of the Ming edition. Therefore, he was known as the "No. 1 in Xichuan". In 2008, the Hongwu Nanzang was included in the country's first batch of precious ancient books by the Ministry of Culture, becoming one of the Buddhist historical and cultural heritages that the country focused on rescuing.
