Fengqi Mountain, a free natural oxygen bar around Chengdu!

Fengqi Mountain Scenic Area is located in Chongzhou, Sichuan, close to Jie Zi Ancient Town. It is named because the shape of the rocks resembles a phoenix head. Although not as famous as Qingcheng Mountain, there is no entrance fee here. There is a thousand-year-old temple hidden on the mountain - Guangyan Zen Temple, with flying eaves, mottled red walls, towering ancient trees, and abundant negative oxygen ions, making it a paradise for hiking enthusiasts and photographers! I have been to Fengqi Mountain more than 10 times in the past two years, and each time I have gained something different and felt something different. I have walked roughly four routes: 1. Park your car in Jie Zi Ancient Town (parking fee 10 yuan), enter from Kangdao (Figure 6), and walk along the wooden plank road beside the stream. The stream is gurgling, there are clumps of bamboo forests, the air is fresh, and it is especially cool in summer. Walk all the way to Huilongyuan (Figure 9), take a rest at the long pavilion, and then return the same way. This route is relatively flat and has a low degree of difficulty, suitable for all ages. 2. Continue walking up from Huilongyuan. The steps are quite steep and difficult, so it is not recommended for people who are afraid of getting tired. Arriving at Wangguitai, which is more than 900 meters above sea level, walking down is Guangyan Zen Temple. We strolled around the ancient temple and then returned the same way, which was nearly 10 kilometers round trip. This was the farthest we had ever walked. 3. To go to Fengqi Mountain from Jiulonggou, park your car at Zhoujiaping, walk up the mountain along Township Road 042, and walk all the way to the main gate of Fengqi Mountain. The scenery along the way is also very beautiful! On summer nights, you can go to Shuijing Bay to watch fireflies. The advantage of this route is that it is easy to travel, but the disadvantage is that there are more cars traveling on weekends. 4. The easiest way is to drive directly to the main entrance of Fengqi Mountain Scenic Area. You can go up the mountain from Jie Zi Ancient Town or from Jiulonggou 042 Township Road. The parking fee is 10 yuan. There are also shuttle buses to Jie Zi Ancient Town and Jiulonggou at the entrance of the scenic area. The fare is 2 yuan, and there is a bus every half an hour. It takes more than 10 minutes to get down the mountain. There are many farmhouses on the mountain, and the ancient temple offers vegetarian meals for 15 yuan per person at noon. Money can’t buy good air! Every holiday, I want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and go to the mountains to fully enjoy the gifts of nature, get rid of the turbidity and let go of the worries.
