I think the area has been renovated because it's much more beautiful than before. It's a great place to relax and unwind, and it's much more shady. There are more beautiful photo spots. Located just 5 kilometers from Chiang Khan District, if you visit during the dry season when the water level is low, you'll see the intricate rock formations of various sizes and shapes in the middle of the river, making the rapids truly live up to their name. However, this time we visited during the rainy season, it was beautiful in a different way. The Mekong River was high and flowing swiftly. On the day we visited, the sun was bright and the sky was clear, and we could clearly see the lush green mountains on the Lao side, making for a beautiful photo opportunity. There are also restaurants along the Mekong River, some of which are houseboats. Signature dishes include the shrimp salad and dancing shrimp. It's also a popular souvenir spot, selling candied coconuts and other local products, such as fried bananas, Miang Kham, and clothing. 📢Kaeng Khut Khu is open daily with no admission fee. It's easily accessible by private car and has parking available. However, if there are buses arriving, parking may be difficult.
