Changchun Yuhuang Temple, Changzhi, Shanxi

Changchun Yuhuang Temple covers a total area of approximately 2,786.75 square meters and features architecture from the Northern Song to Qing dynasties. The temple faces south and consists of two courtyards. Along the central axis from south to north are the opera stage, mountain gate, main hall, and Great Buddha Hall. On the east and west sides are the bell tower, drum tower, and west wing hall, with newly built side rooms and corridors on both sides. The exact date of construction is unknown, but steles and other relics inside the temple indicate multiple renovations during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The temple's architectural styles vary across different periods, reflecting the social customs and folk traditions of those times. It serves as an important historical resource for studying local customs and the development and evolution from the Song to Qing dynasties. It is a nationally protected key cultural relic.
