Shanxi Changzhi Dayu Guan Di Temple

Dayu Guan Di Temple was originally built during the Ming Dynasty, with the existing main structures dating back to the Qing Dynasty. As an important place of worship in the active Jin merchant cultural area, it has undergone multiple renovations, preserving the traditional architectural craftsmanship characteristics of southeastern Shanxi. The complex faces south and adopts a traditional courtyard layout. The existing main buildings include the main hall, side halls, and the mountain gate. The roof style uses the typical Xianshan roof form of Shanxi, and the beam and frame structure retains features of Ming Dynasty architectural components. The brick carvings, wood carvings, and other decorative crafts exhibit mid-Qing Dynasty styles, reflecting the regional construction techniques of traditional Shanxi ancestral temples. The temple also preserves exquisite mid-Qing Dynasty painted murals and wood carving artworks. It is a key cultural relic protection unit of Shanxi Province.
