Changping Valley (Natural Trail)

After completing the 7-kilometer wooden walkway, the trail transitions into a natural path for the next 5 kilometers, which is also used by horses. The trail offers a variety of terrains: muddy paths, rocky climbs, wet soil, water crossings, and wooden log paths. If you're a true hiking enthusiast, you'll likely enjoy this section immensely. However, this part of the trail is mostly flat or uphill with no downhill sections, making it quite exhausting. Along the way, there’s hardly any time to take photos as the hike becomes increasingly challenging, and you’ll also need to keep pace to stay on schedule. Upon reaching Muluozi, you'll find an open grassland surrounded by towering mountains, some of which still have snow on their peaks. A cool breeze greets you, and the fatigue and difficulty of the hike seem to vanish instantly. The breathtaking view makes all the effort worthwhile. The grassland is adorned with colorful flowers, and yaks may wander over to greet you. Behind them, you'll see pine forests and majestic mountains. On the way back, too tired to walk, I opted to ride a horse. The price was quite steep, but it was necessary. Riding back also allowed me to enjoy the scenery along the horse trail, making this trip a truly immersive experience in nature. For those who prefer not to hike up and down stairs, you can choose to ride a horse from the very beginning. If you have several days to explore the Four Sisters Mountain area, I highly recommend this hike. The views are truly stunning, the area is not overly crowded, and the forest is incredibly lush and pristine.
