✔️ Rila Monastery 📍 Kyustendil District, Bulgaria 2643 If you are travelling to Bulgaria, be sure to check out this heritage site called Rila Monastery, founded and built in the 10th century. As the largest and most popular monastery in the country, it is known for its intricate architecture and art works, especially on its ceilings! The main way to get here is either via public buses or private vehicle transport. As we visited during the rainy season, it was a little inconvenient to walk around as the paths aren’t very even.
