China Printing Museum

The China Printing Museum is located at No. 25 Xinghua Beilu, Huangcun, Daxing District, Beijing, situated in the southeast corner of the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication. It officially opened to the public in June 1996. The China Printing Museum has a total construction area of approximately 8,000 square meters and an exhibition area of approximately 6,000 square meters. It consists of three floors above ground and one floor below ground. Inside the museum, there are exhibition halls dedicated to ancient Chinese printing, modern and contemporary world printing, printing equipment, a digital exhibition hall, and temporary exhibition halls. Through cultural relics and historical materials, the China Printing Museum introduces visitors to the development of ancient Chinese printing, showcasing the significant impact of Chinese printing technology on both Chinese and global civilizations. The rich collection of artifacts allows visitors to experience the gradual historical process from papermaking to printing, and the evolution from block printing to movable type printing. Everyone feels a sense of pride in the inventions and creations of their ancestors. Today's rapidly evolving printing technology brings even greater changes and developments to world civilization.
