| The Puxuan Hotel and Spa: A Hidden Gem in the City.‼️ Although this is a luxury hotel without a "swimming pool," it still holds its place among the many luxury hotels on Wangfujing Street in Beijing. 🙋‍♂️ The hotel's architectural design is by Ole Scherre, Maggie Cheung's ex-boyfriend, whose more famous work is the CCTV Headquarters, also known as the "Big Pants." 🌿 The hotel is located next to the National Art Museum of China, inside the Guardian Art Center, and boasts the prestigious address of No. 1 Wangfujing Street. However, it is not ostentatious, with a very low-key and unconventional design that incorporates elements such as city walls and courtyards. As a result, reviews are highly polarized, and the hotel entrance is very private. 📸 The hotel's front desk and lobby bar feature the famous work "Mirror Garden" by Shi Jinsong, which is a popular photo spot for many hotel guests. 💯 The hotel offers 24-hour check-in, with a seated check-in process. After check-in, staff will escort you to your room. Although I arrived at the hotel late, the overall service experience was a big plus. 🤦‍♂️ The rooms are spacious, and although I was upgraded to a suite, the view outside the window was not great. However, the design was decent, with a new Chinese style. The room's hardware was low-key yet luxurious, featuring Hermes home furnishings and a Loewe TV, although it wasn't particularly large. The mini bar was free, and the toiletries smelled nice. 🍽 Breakfast included a cold buffet and hot dishes made to order. There weren't many options, but the quality was decent. 🏖 Overall, the hotel's strengths lie in its service and attention to detail. Its quiet environment makes it a great choice for a weekend family staycation.
