DIENG PLATEU, CENTRAL JAVA

The Dieng Plateau or the Dieng Plateau is an area in the center of Central Java which has geological, historical, and agricultural characteristics that are considered distinctive.[by whom?] This plain is flanked by a range of hills on its north and south sides, which originate from the same volcanic activity. and called the Dieng Mountains. Dieng Mountains itself is geographically located between the Rogojembangan Peak complex in the west and the pair of Mount Sindoro and Mount Sumbing on the east side. Roughly speaking, the Dieng Plateau (DT Dieng) occupies an area measuring 4-6 km wide (north–south) and 11 km long (west–east). The altitude of the plain is at 1 600 to 2 100 m above sea level with the direction of surface flow to the southwest,[1] towards the Serayu River valley.
