Historical buildings from the Mataram Dynasty, Hindu monuments and temples

The Hindu heritage temple complex Candi Arjuna is the oldest heritage building complex on the Indonesian island of Java. These temples were built around the eighth to ninth centuries, during the Mataram Dynasty in Java. Due to its long history and repeated damage from volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, all temples are now in dilapidated condition, and most of the buildings now have only their foundations.
