Walking the Red Pathway to Serenity

#penangspots The long red-covered walkway at Kek Lok Si is one of my favourite parts of the visit. It feels almost ceremonial to walk through, guiding you gently towards the upper temple grounds. The bright red against the neutral stone and green surroundings is so striking for photos. It’s also a moment to slow down—listen to the sounds of birds, feel the breeze, and let the anticipation build for what’s ahead. By the time I reached the end of the walkway, I felt more connected to the temple’s peaceful atmosphere.
