Lake misurina

The lake is at an elevation of about 1,754 m according to Wikipedia. So although it’s mountainous, the immediate area around the lake is fairly level and safe for children. There’s mention of child‑friendly amenities: for example a playground by the lakeside (the “playground at Lake Misurina” is flagged in a family‑holiday guide). Activities like pedal boats or row‑boats are available on the lake, which can be fun for children (and parents) and offer alternatives to longer hikes. The circular path around the lake is described as “one of the easiest walks in the Dolomites … families, children … can all enjoy the circuit.” Because it’s a natural‑lakeside area, children can play, watch ducks, enjoy the water’s edge and stay relatively safe (given supervision) without the more strenuous terrain of higher mountain trails.
