Derwent Water Keswick Cumbria

A short walk around the town and a visit to Derwent Water. The first picture is of a section of the Cumbria way. Stunning scenery and great walking country. For the beginner a walk around the Lake reveals a number of hidden gems. There are wild swimming beaches on the shoreline and or there is a moderate hike to Cat Bells. For the more experienced hiker there is the more challenging route to the summit of Skiddaw. Weather conditions were not the best but the sun appeared and the clouds lifted. I started my walk from the YHA pictured and the weather allowed me to continue my journey to the summit 🏔️
