"I stayed at this wonderful hotel for one night during a layover in Beijing. Here’s what I want to say: if you’re flying with a layover and need a place to stay overnight, this is the place to go! The hotel is located just a 10–15 minute drive from the airport. Guests can arrange a transfer service that picks them up at the airport and takes them back the next morning. I arrived at 6 PM and contacted the hotel from the airport—this service is completely free if you book through Trip.com (a huge thank you to that wonderful service!). A hotel representative explained exactly where to catch the shuttle in excellent English. Thanks to the clear instructions, finding the shuttle bus stop was easy. As I mentioned, the hotel is a short 10–15 minute drive away. Nearby, there are other transit hotels, as well as cafes, convenience stores, and massage parlors—basically everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel itself is spotless, and the rooms are spacious, cozy, and very comfortable. The service and staff are excellent. The food selection is fantastic! My room rate included not only breakfast (a very varied buffet) but also dinner (soup, rice with vegetables and meat, and pasta with vegetables)—everything was delicious. There is an enclosure with live llamas in the hotel courtyard—a unique and charming touch—with tables nearby where you can have coffee or a cigarette. There is also a free coffee machine near the reception area. My room was spacious and equipped with absolutely everything I needed, plus a complimentary gift from the hotel—a really nice touch. After spending the night in this wonderful place, I want to say a huge thank you to all the hotel staff who maintain such high standards of service and a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to friends. If you are reading this review, I highly recommend staying at this wonderful hotel too!!!!! Thank you for the magnificent welcome❤️"

Smoke smell in the vent. But for the price it is fine."

Hotel near Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
The original location of the hotel, Yueweizhuang, was one of Mr. Ji Xiaolan's residences in Beijing in his later years, and it was also an important place for him to create "Notes on Yuewei Caotang". Adjacent to the Forbidden City, Wangfujing Business Circle and along Chang'an Street, it can walk to cultural landmarks such as Nanluoguxiang. The subway hub is close at hand, which embraces the prosperity and tranquility of the ancient capital. Inheriting the orthodox regulation of the Beijing school courtyard, the courtyard retains the traditional architectural structure of the old Beijing courtyard with a central axis symmetry pattern. The gray tiles, blue bricks, carved beams and painted buildings still hide the charm of the ancient house. At the same time, it integrates cultural display elements, continues the cultural memory of the old Beijing courtyard, and allows guests to immerse themselves in the feelings of the old Beijing courtyard. And the cultural style. The hotel is transformed from two hundred-year-old courtyards, with a total of 59 elegant guest rooms, ranging from 35 square meters to 200 square meters. It is a rare courtyard private bath resort in Beijing. Create a variety of room types to adapt to different travel needs. The exclusive butler will follow up the whole process 24 hours a day, from check-in courtesy, itinerary customization to catering private banquets, and provide one-on-one exclusive services. The hotel was built with fine investment, and every detail was carefully carved, focusing on building three characteristic public areas: · The cultural corridor displays the life imprints of literati in the Qing Dynasty and the historical and cultural materials of Dongcheng, so that Chinese and foreign guests can immerse themselves in the cultural heritage of the ancient capital; · Rooftop viewing cafe, you can enjoy the staggered scenery of the blue bricks and gray tiles in the courtyard; · The traditional Chinese medicine massage spa hall hires a famous non-genetic massage teacher in Beijing to soothe the physical and mental fatigue of travelers in the traditional way of health care. In addition, the hotel is also equipped with a gym, a multi-functional conference room, an elegant tea room, a boutique gift gallery, a restaurant, an executive lounge, a bar, a business box, a laundry room and other facilities to meet the diverse needs of guests in an all-round way. As a luxurious secret place under the roots of the imperial city, it perfectly integrates the thousand-year-of-year courtyard of Beijing with the traditional culture of Beijing, achieving a unique model of travel and residence.

"The hygiene, environment, and facilities were excellent. The location is absolutely superb, right in Dongsi Sitiao. Just walk straight and turn right, and you're on Dongsi Beidajie. It's perfect for a city walk, exploring, eating, and checking off all your must-sees. It's also super convenient to grab pastries from Honghua Dianxinju and Daoxiangcun as souvenirs. The hutong itself offers an immersive experience of old Beijing's alleyways and is wonderfully quiet. In terms of service, the hardware and facilities were great. The welcome snacks in the room were special Daoxiangcun treats, and the welcome fruit and drinks were a thoughtful touch. The readily available complimentary bottled water in the hallways was also very convenient. So much for the good. Now, let's talk about areas for improvement – specifically, the soft services. I understand that a hotel is essentially a service industry, so service is an extremely important component. The service here, if I were to use an analogy, felt like a bottle of milk mixed with half a bottle of water. It had a milky taste, but it felt a bit diluted, a little off. The remaining half bottle of milk was there out of necessity, to prove it was still milk. Personally, I think poor performance usually stems from two reasons: 1. a willingness issue; 2. a capability issue. As for what the specific problem is, the boss probably needs to identify it. If it's a capability issue, I'd suggest more training. If it's a willingness issue, it's a bit harder to pinpoint, given that there's still that half bottle of milk. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I come back to Beijing and would recommend it to friends, purely for the environment and location. As for the service, perhaps dropping the '24h Private Residence Butler' label would make it feel less incongruous. Finally, in brief, some reasons for my negative feedback on the service – too lazy to elaborate, but let's call it the ”missing luggage tag incident” and the ”insisting a display item is new incident.” Honestly, I'm usually very accommodating with minor issues; otherwise, I wouldn't have waited 20 minutes at the front desk when I was rushing to catch a flight. But what I can't tolerate is deception. The fact that I had to persist to expose a display item being passed off as new is quite ridiculous. And lastly, a shout-out to the girl who worked hard running to the storage room to get a new item; she really tried and apologized, but I still needed to get this off my chest."

Hotel near East Second Ring Workers' Stadium Area,Beijing
Nestled in the epicenter of Beijing's fashion and lifestyle scene, InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun enjoys a privileged location alongside the picturesque Liangma River, blending natural serenity with urban vibrancy. As an iconic architectural landmark, the hotel embodies international luxury while offering convenient access to the embassy district, central business area, and popular tourist destinations. With its avant-garde design, the hotel stands as a dynamic presence in Sanlitun—the city’s most captivating entertainment and lifestyle hub—making it the ideal choice for global travelers and discerning social elites. It features the largest banquet venues in the Sanlitun area, with over 1,500 square meters of sophisticated event space. Complemented by modern guest rooms and innovative culinary concepts, the hotel seamlessly caters to both business and leisure needs of today’s travelers.

"I booked an Executive King Room, and the hotel upgraded me to a suite, which I then upgraded myself to their signature panoramic view room. The view was excellent, offering a 270-degree view from three sides, directly facing the bustling Sanlitun Taikoo Li commercial district. This is one of Beijing's most vibrant areas, with many events, such as the outdoor fashion week happening right downstairs during my stay. The hotel's location is superb, surrounded by malls, bars, and restaurants. There's a constant flow of people and traffic throughout the day and well into the night. The InterContinental Club on the 22nd floor offered morning tea and afternoon tea with fewer crowds and excellent service – even more welcoming and attentive than other hotels. The gym and swimming pool were both good and not crowded at all. The emotional value of standing by the window in the panoramic view room and enjoying the scenery was truly immense. The downside, however, is the price; I wouldn't have been able to afford it if the hotel hadn't given me a discount. Also, the electric curtains on the front and both side panoramic windows are linked, meaning that most of the time, to block out the view of the neighboring guest room from one side, the other panoramic curtain also has to be closed, which is quite frustrating. It would be better if they were manual curtains instead."
