Majestic Colonial Punta Cana - All Inclusive

All I can say is AMAZING. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The staff is so friendly. We stayed on the club side. Our butler was Ramiro. He is truly AWESOME. We were all blown away by his attention to what ever we needed. I can’t think him enough for making our stay a memorable one. The food was great. They have several restaurants to choose from. Breakfast is served every morning at a couple of them. I don’t have one negative thing to say about this property or the staff. Book this property for whatever celebration or solo trip you have coming up. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED
Eden Roc Cap Cana

Cap Cana
We visited in February 2025 for our ”winter thaw”. The location of the resort was prefect just minutes from the airport. The resort itself was so beautiful and peaceful with the waves crashing on the rocks and a lovely beach. The pool was nice as well although we didn't use it much. The the restaurants offered a nice variety of fare and vibe. Whatever you do, you MUST order the seafood grill at La Palapa. You're welcome! The service was mostly fantastic. We had 2 small service hiccups in 6 days that were quickly addressed by management. We stayed in Villa 5 and loved it. High ceilings, our own pool, outdoor shower, the most amazing jacuzzi tub you can imagine, comfy bed, and a concierge (Abby) who took care of all reservations, tee times and even a few incidental items that we appreciated. Service standouts included Abby, Daniel, Andy, Rawela, Felix, Quentin, the sommelier at Mediterraneo on Valentine's Day (I forgot his name-sorry). We appreciate each of you for your commitment to excellence! Thank you for a lovely holiday. We will definitely recommend Eden Roc!
Iberostar Selection Bávaro Suites

First the good news: The resort is beautiful. The landscape is nice and the beach area is beautiful as well. The buffet (both at Iberostar Selection and Coral Level are good). The a la carte restaurants are nice and a level up from the buffet. Everyone working at the resort is trying to keep customers happy (thanks Yolanda for making the restaurants reservations ahead of time). The evening programs were nice. Second the not so good news: Problems with the room. After upgrading our room to the ocean from presidential suite and waiting an hour to be ready not everything worked as expected. The TV in the living room was not working and it took a couple of phone calls and a day to have it fixed. The jacuzzi which was advertised as part of the room did not work either and it took two days to have it fixed. The A/C in the bedroom could not get to a cool level during the entire stay. And finally one night the electricity went out at midnight and didn’t come back until the next morning (intermittently). No explanation or apologies from the hotel was ever provided). So plan your expectations accordingly.
Majestic Elegance Punta Cana - All Inclusive

The hotel has a car at counter 35 at the airport exit, but there is a fee of 40 dollars for a family. Check out to the airport, there is also a car to send, but also pay 40 dollars per family. The wait time was very long when checking in. The waiters seemed to be very busy and very inefficient. The room sanitation is so-so, and the towels and bedding feel very old and not clean and white. But it feels very good after moving in. The hotel is very large and it takes two days to familiarize yourself with the environment. All-inclusive food and drink, including drinks, there are many restaurants with different dishes, very rich, and rich in seafood. There are also many small living rooms that provide food and drink during non-dinner times. In short, you can find food at any time. The beach and sea water are very beautiful. There are different large-scale show performances every night, which is surprising because I did not see the introduction of the show when I booked the room. All inclusive of eating, drinking and having fun at the hotel, a great experience. The test for the new coronavirus is provided free of charge the day before departure, and the result is obtained on the day of departure. You need to present the test result when you check in.
Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Just returned from the Grand Palladium on a 2 week holiday. This hotel is excellent. We have been to the Dominican Republic on 4 previous visits and stayed in some good hotels but this is definitely our favourite. The food is the best we've had with a HUGE choice at the buffets, plus a choice of 8 a la carte restaurants. The resort is well maintained, clean and when we went (October) there were plenty of sun beds on the beach or by the numerous pools. It's a big resort with 4 hotels, 3 of which share their facilities (pools, restaurants etc) so you have plenty of choice. There are golf carts and a land train to get you from one area to another if you don't wish to walk but we hardly used them as nowhere was a particularly long walk. Staff were very helpful and please think about tipping a few dollars where you can as it can make a difference to the small amount people earn there
Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana - All Inclusive

The service at Bahia Principe was really quite good. Friendly workers at the front desk and concierge/transportation kiosk really helped. The facilities at Bahia Principe are not up to snuff however. The room was old and tired- in need of much care. For example, there were five lamps/lights in the room and two had light bulbs out. My wife wanted to read at night but there was not enough lighting in the room to even read a book for 15 minutes. The small fridge never worked. But the ants on the coach took the cake. No, they literally were on the hunt for cake in the room! If you want a really solid looking property then book at Ambar, not Principe. On a positive note the mattress and pillows were comfortable. One other note and seemed very kid friendly... But the property is huge! So huge that many people will want to take the trams to the beach- which was packed and not the best beach in Punta Cana. Later today I will be reviewing the Majestic Colonial which we also stayed in for a week. Want treated like you're a king or queen? Look at the Majestic properties which were worth the extra pesos.
