"The location is probably the best reason to get this place booked, very convenient to get anywhere! I was satisfied with my room but only because I was alone, it’s really that small. Overall it was clean and everything worked fine. The only thing that bothered me was lighting. It’s really dark everywhere even with all lights turned on. The bathroom has a good make up mirror but it’s simply way too dark.
The stuff service was friendly and quick although always busy with the amount of customers at the reception."
"Everything is clean and well-prepared.. the shower drainage is not clogged also.. i was assigned to one of the top floorsand it gave me a nice view of the city.. Maybe it's just the AC is not cooling that much compared to my previous rooms.."
"First, we checked in to a room the aircond was only blow warm air, and bathroom only provides one toothbrush. We then requested to change to another room. This second room the aircond is perfect except for room amenities, again there’s nothing provided except for towels. I have to request room service to refill what is necessary. Second and third day, they clean the room but without replace amenities. When I asked the cleaner, she told me I have to call to request. Anyway, I did not call to ask for replace shower cap, body lotion and facial cotton for the next 2 days. I personally felt that the hotel should provide and replace all basic amenities daily. First time I felt so disappointed after so many times stay here."
"This is a favorate stop of mine. Clean rooms, nice views, reliable air conditioning. Located in what can only be called China Town, a short walk or tuktuk to Aeon shopping mall. About 20mins from Riverside depending in traffic. They have a fantastic swiming pool, which would be better if some of the guests would stop spitting and blowing their noses in the water (not locals) and what seems to be a popular gym. I was told they have free washing facilities for use, but i didnt have need of these. The staff are helpful, polite and friendly, speaking chinese and english."
"Excellent Stay at Fairfield Phnom Penh!
I had a fantastic experience at the Fairfield by Marriott in Phnom Penh. The hotel is modern, clean, and exceptionally well-maintained. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, with great views of the city. I especially appreciated the rooftop bar and pool—perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Location-wise, it’s conveniently situated near key attractions and the riverfront. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers!"
"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience.
Pros: The swimming pool is absolutely lovely, providing a nice spot to relax and unwind.
Cons: I would have preferred to have a full-length mirror in the room, as it’s always helpful to check your outfit before heading out.
It would also be nice to have a stand for my luggage instead of putting it directly on the floor, which can be inconvenient.
One downside of the pool is the lack of privacy. There’s a restaurant located just one floor above, and it feels a bit awkward knowing that diners can see me swimming. It takes away from the relaxing vibe, as it feels like I'm part of their entertainment.
Overall, while the pool is a highlight, some improvements could enhance the overall experience."
"The location is great, 3km or 10 min by car to airport. The hotel design looks like Bali Island or Puket. The Room is big and decoration is nice. Breakfast is good, Cambodian Noodle and Western Breakfast. Staff are friendly. There are some modern coffee shops at outside of Hotel. There is a Supermarket which accepts WeChat Pay. A Traditional market is behind the hotel. I walked around the hotel and do not feel any safety problems.
"For a 5 star hotel and the Shangri-La brand, you would expect a bit more. The room is fine (a bit smaller in Phnom Penh standard) and clean, but nothing really stands out. Paid $240 per night for Jun 23-24, found Rosewood were offering similar price point but decided to check out Shangri-La since I have not tried it. A bit disappointing and can't really believe they have powder coffee instead of having a Nespresso machine. That's quite below standard and I think the hotel is cheaping out on modern equipment considering the price you paid for this level. Will not stay again since there are much better offering in the similar location."
"I only paid 35usd per night off season four a midrange 4th floor room but this hotel was genuinely lush. The sky bar and infinity pool is the standout feature, at least until they build skyscrapers all around it blocking the view! It is very special eating breakfast with such a view.
Staff have serviceable but not perfect English. 50usd cash deposit and you can' t charge drinks to the room, there's a vibe of maybe a history of wealthy foreigners trashing the place.
As with most Asian high end hotels there are strange shortcomings, eg I was refused an extra coffee 1 minute after breakfast closed, but this is not important. For the price and central location and rooftop and size quality and views of the rooms this place is fantastic."

Great
CCaroZimThis was our second stay at Le Botum. We were upgraded to a family room which was a lovely surprise as it was quite a bit larger and higher up than the original room we had booked - it also had a nice balcony with a great view of the Mekong. The rooftop pool and restaurant have stunning views of the Phnom Penh although the food in the restaurant is very average is is overpriced for what it is. The location of the hotel is very central.

GGuest UserI highly recommend this hotel. Very reasonable price yet excellent service. Breakfast is superb. Fine dining vibe not buffet but you get to order everything in the menu until you have enough. Egg Benedict is my favorite. I will always stay in this hotel every time i visit phnom penh. Near all the restaurants and tourist attractions. There is night market in front of hotel every weekend. My son and i had the best experience given the short stay after marathon.

IIlvaplevoirThe hotel is located is a very nice location. Many restaurants and bars nearby. Friday night it can get really noise and you listen all the music from outside the hotel. The breakfast is ok, they have several dishes on the menu. The pool does not have much privacy.
The rooms are big and clean.

EErik StawAll good except for a particular approach to customer’s finances. I asked them for anti diarrhea medication and hotel staff said that they didn’t have it but they could buy it for me. They sent a security man upstairs but we couldn’t communicate. I used a translation software to say that I wanted one box. They left and never came back. Later I found that he needed money from me to buy the medication. Seriously??? The hotel didn’t have few measly dollars to use to buy the meds?? And then of course add this money to out hotel bill. They had our 20 dollar deposit anyway. Not good to offer help and then screw it up.

YYeong Yiau AlisterGreat and convenient location next to the Central Market. Had a free upgrade and the room was spacious. Maybe due to the warm weather, the aircon took some time to cool the room down. The aircon was however blowing directly where the pillow was placed. There were blackouts over short periods of time but I suppose that is a common occurrence. Receptionist was helpful in providing tips and breaking down currency into smaller denominations.

AAndrew WhayThe location is superb. I was just arrive and couldn’t find the hotel as it’s located inside the bar. The staff is great that reach me out from the entrance.
You can find lot of food, drink anything like you need. It’s all walking distance. I’d love to stay here again. If you need a window. Because I’ve booked without window since I’m travelling alone. This is the 3rd time I’m staying in Phnom Penh… Solo traveller!!!

EErin28The hotel is in an excellent location, only a short walk or tuk tuk ride to the main attractions. The reception staff were very friendly during the check in process and offered a refreshing drink. The room was basic, but had all the necessary amenities for a short stay. It also had a nice city view from the balcony. The pool is an added bonus and the breakfast was decent. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with lovely and helpful staff.

GGuest UserA nice boutique hotel, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast not a wide spread but definitely sufficient. They also served hot porridge per order. We asked for half boil egg, they gladly do for us. All staff from the front desk to the breakfast, helpful and friendly. Facilities only a pool but that is not what we go for so is fine. We ae happy with this hotel.

DDavid BeaupainI was extremely happy with my choice to stay at Lavanya Boutique Hotel. The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. Just a few blocks walk to the restaurants and bars of the riverfront area, yet far enough away to avoid being in the loud and busy area. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel offered a made-to-order daily breakfast with my rate.
