Excellent location with convenient paid parking space at the property. Fairytale terrace. Delightful staff, professional, kind and available for any type of request. Excellent breakfast. "I was hoping to bring back memories of the past when I spent many summer holidays with my friends and family in Grado at the Abbazia. Unfortunately, the previous owner no longer is around and the current people are not what I would recommend as friendly. They were actually rather vicious when I had problems paying the bill, which had increased due to the addition of one night. Even after staying there for a whole week, they charged me the weekend rate. An eye opener for sure."

"We were undecided where to spend the last night before work resumed! My wife found a room in what seemed like a nice hotel! At the front DESK welcomed by two young and very kind girls who found me a place for the motorbike! The lagoon view room is normal in size but with everything in its place! The lagoon view is amazing! Then in the morning without a breath of wind the sky was shining on the water! Excellent breakfast on the terrace!"

"This hotel was misrepresented as having a restaurant, room setvice, laundry, and a shuttle to the airport. It had NONE of these. My husband and I have mobility issues so the airport shuttle was a major factor when we chose the hotel in grado. As was the laundry as we were going on a cruise after our stay in grado On top of that the older desk clerk was extreme rude to us obviously forgetting we were the customers. My brother and his wife who came to see our place chose not to stay here because of. An interaction with this clerk We will be back to Grado but will never stay at the Abbazia hotel again even though cleanliness was good and location was great"

"We had a tremendous experience here. Spotlessly clean. Great Breakfast. Will definitely be back. Spacious room. 2 Adults 2 teenagers in bunk beds. My son is very tall and had adequate space. Couldn't ask for more. Nice small family hotel. We parked 100M away and left it for the entire weekend. We just used the free bikes to get around. And oh yeh Great value too."

"The shower had no seal, so every time we used it the entire bathroom got flooded. The room had only an internal view, and the air conditioning fans were extremely noisy – it was impossible even to open the window. We complained and asked to be moved to another room, but we were completely ignored. The reception was practically never staffed, and when we finally spoke with the manager, he admitted that the shower seal had been ordered but would take time to arrive. When we asked why the room was rented out if they knew it was defective, he just shrugged his shoulders! The TV doesn’t allow you to watch Netflix or other streaming services without extra equipment. Overall, a huge disappointment – for the money paid, the quality was absolutely not acceptable. Even the rental bikes were in very poor condition, almost all broken. The hotel staff seemed completely uninterested in the guests’ needs."

"Quiet at night and ideal for its location. The center is just a short walk away. Very good breakfast, average cleanliness, and a fairly pleasant sleep if the neighbors are polite. Relaxing balconies for reading in the evening, very friendly staff. I recommend the retractable mosquito nets for those who appreciate mosquitoes. Our bathroom had a curtain, but not everyone likes it, and I think it's something that can gradually be replaced. Recommended for those with no expectations and looking for simplicity."

"We stayed in a small, cute cottage with all the comforts and air conditioning, but the pools were unregulated, dirty, and by 7:00 all the lounge chairs were already taken despite the pool opening at 9:00. Lifeguards were busy on their phones all day! The restaurant and pizzeria had poor food and high prices, and the minimarket opened at 7:30 only on paper. If you're looking for relaxation, this isn't for you! Loud noise at all hours, alcohol flowing freely even in the pool, which then disturbed other guests, and cigarette butts everywhere."
