Nottingham
The end of our
BLESS Nottingham event
on Thursday 1st May, will signify the beginning of our Walk Notts with TNT fundraiser. Our
#WalkWithTNT series
has highlighted just some of the breadth and scope of our work that we do here at Transforming Notts Together to overcome poverty and injustice across our City and County.

So what is Walk Notts with TNT?
Over the course of two weeks, beginning on Thursday 1st May and finishing on Thursday 15th May, we will be visiting as many of the churches, organisations and charities we support as possible. Walking 85 miles across the two week span, we aim to: (a) highlight just some of the amazing work that is happening across our City and County, (b) raise money to overcome poverty and injustice in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, (c) connect churches and projects with each other, and (d) inspire others to get involved in supporting their local church/project.
So how can I get involved?
Firstly, we would love to invite you to walk with us. To see the amazing beauty in our City and County, and to connect with and be inspired by the work that is already happening. If you would like to get involved, you can find details of our walk in the agenda section. You would be more than welcome to join us!
Secondly, you can
sponsor our efforts
and make a stand against poverty and inequality in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We know that the rates of poverty are increasing in a City who already ranks as the 11th (out of 317) most deprived district in England using the Indices of Multiple Deprivation.
Thirdly, we would love to you pray for us, and for our City and County. We will be praying as we walk (along with chatting) over the churches, projects and general areas that we walk through.

May Day Forest Bathing and Crafts | Rushcliffe Country Park
May 4, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Nottingham
Join us in our private woodlands at Rushcliffe Country Park to celebrate May Day and connect to nature in springtime.
What is May Day?
May Day has long been celebrated across Europe as a symbolism of the
beginning of summer
, falling halfway between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. It is a really fantastic opportunity to
connect to the season
s and to nature as the days get warmer and the flowers begin to truly bloom. For this special event, we will be engaging in nature connection activities including forest bathing and making beautiful
flower crowns
or
spring wreaths
out of natural woodland resources!
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing, or ‘shinrin yoku’ in Japanese, is the wonderfully
restorative, mindfulness-based
practice of immersing oneself in the forest, woodland or any green space. Whether you practise alone, or guided by a trained facilitator as this session will be, you will gently use your senses to
connect to the natural world
around you. Many studies have shown forest bathing to have a profoundly positive impact on our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. When practised in a group, it can also provide a lovely, easeful way to not only connect to nature and to ourselves, but to the other people around us.
The event will be guided by a qualified
Forest Therapy Practitioner
. Additional information will be sent out to all attendees
3 days before
the event by email - if you have not received it by then, please check your spam then message me at
wildandwondernotts@gmail.com
.
Please see
FAQs
below for information on accessibility, parking and other info. Any other questions, do not hesitate to get in touch.
