Join us to experience the joy of riding e-Bikes! ThinkChange is about empowering everyone in our community to find ways to reduce car use, contributing to a healthier, more connected and sustainable Sunshine Coast. By partnering with organisations, community groups, and individuals, we aim to inspire meaningful changes, big and small. No matter where you live, you can play a part in reducing car dependence and get involved with ThinkChange. Together, we can help create a greener, more connected Sunshine Coast. For many years, Nambour was the heart of the Sunshine Coast, with the Sugar Mill, cane fields, and pineapples. Around its well-established streets it hides some surprisingly pretty rides. These are just perfect for checking out e-bikes. Nambour does hold some very hilly areas but we have chosen a route with only a couple of hills. They're not too big, but this ride WILL require a reasonable level of fitness. E-Bikes are sponsored by ThinkChange and Sunshine Coast Council and provided by ecoTekk Sunshine Coast. This event for ThinkChange and Healthy Sunshine Coast, in conjunction with ecoTekk Sunshine Coast, is two and a half hours long. We have an early start with the bike set up and safety orientation talk starting at 9:00 am near the Anzac Memorial at Quota Park, Mathew Street, Nambour. We hope to get away by 9:30am. We will ride on paths along Petrie Creek and around Nambour. This is a great way to experience the freedom that is e-biking. We will have a refreshment break and workshop about e-bikes at The Black Bunny Cafe. Each rider needs to fill in a public liability waiver to be able to participate. Here is the link Please note: the time taken for our ride may vary due to participants’ capabilities. Information Source: ecoTekk Sunshine Coast | eventbrite

Bilingual Listng Please Scroll Down for English Text The Ghost of Dylan ThomasDrama gan Peter Read Nos Lun, 04 Awst Tocynnau: £8 | £10 Drysau: 7pm Yn The Ghost of Dylan Thomas, rydym yn dod ar ei draws wrth iddo edrych yn ôl ar ei fywyd a'r nifer o gamgymeriadau personol a wnaed. Rydym gydag ef wrth iddo wylio cast yn cynhesu ar gyfer perfformiad o'i ddrama Under Milkwood. Yn ogystal, yn y nos rydym yn ei wylio'n cyfathrebu â beirdd eraill yng Nghornel y Beirdd, Abaty Westminster. Mae'n edrych yn ôl ar ei yrfa, sut mae'n cael ei weld heddiw, ac yn galaru sut y chwalodd ei berthnasoedd niferus â menywod, ac yn enwedig ei briodas â Caitlin. Ganwyd Peter Read yn Rhosllanerchrugog ac ers 2004 mae wedi bod yn awdur a pherfformiwr llawn amser. Mae dros ugain o'i ddramâu wedi'u perfformio'n broffesiynol ac yn 2023 cyhoeddwyd ei lyfr am Glwb Pêl-droed Wrecsam, From Hollywood To Wrexham, gan Y Lolfa. Mae ei sioeau un dyn am Dylan Thomas wedi'u perfformio ledled Prydain ac yn 2014 cafodd ei gomisiynu gan Ysgrifennydd Gwladol Cymru ar y pryd i ysgrifennu Ysbryd Dylan Thomas, a fydd yn cael ei pherfformio yn Nhŷ Pawb. Ysgrifennwyd y ddrama yn 2014, canmlwyddiant geni Dylan. Mae Peter wedi perfformio fel Dylan Thomas yng Ngwesty’r Chelsea yn Efrog Newydd ac yn Ohio fel rhan o Ŵyl Gymreig America a Chanada. Adolygiadau: Mae’n dystiolaeth i sgript a pherfformiad Read y gall sioe un dyn greu presenoldeb menywod Dylan mor argyhoeddiadol. (Derek Webb: Theatr yng Nghymru) Mae Peter Read fel Dylan Thomas yn berfformiwr hypnotig rhyfeddol y mae ei frwdfrydedd dros ei bwnc yn amlwg iawn. Mae’r cynhyrchiad rhagorol hwn yn taro ymdrechion tebyg i het go iawn. (Graham Williams Western Mail a South Wales Evening Post) // The Ghost of Dylan ThomasA Paly by Peter Read Monday, 04 August Tickets: £8 | £10 Doors: 7pm In the Ghost of Dylan Thomas we encounter him as he looks back on his life and the many personal mistakes made. We are with him as he watches a cast warm up for a performance of his play Under Milkwood. In addition, at night we watch him communicate with other poets in Poets Corner Westminster Abbey. He looks back on his career, how he is perceived today, and laments how his many relationships with women and particularly his marriage to Caitlin, disintegrated. Peter Read was born in Rhosllanerchrugog and since 2004 has been a full time writer and performer. Over twenty of his plays have been performed professionally and in 2023 his book about Wrexham Football Club, From Hollywood To Wrexham was published by Y Lolfa. His one man shows about Dylan Thomas have been performed throughout Britain and in 2014 he was commissioned by the then Secretary of State for Wales to write The Ghost Of Dylan Thomas, which will be performed at Ty Pawb. The play was written in 2014, the centenary anniversary year of Dylan’s birth. Peter has performed as Dylan Thomas in the Chelsea Hotel New York and in Ohio as part of the American and Canadian Welsh Festival. Reviews: It is testimony to Read’s script and performance that a one man show can conjure up the presence of Dylan’s women so convincingly. (Derek Webb: Theatre in Wales) Peter Read as Dylan Thomas is a fabulously hypnotic performer whose enthusiasm for his subject is self evident. This superlative production knocks similar efforts into a cocked hat (Graham Williams Western Mail and South Wales Evening Post) Information Source: Tŷ Pawb | eventbrite

Celebrate the launch of Accomplice to the Villain with author Hannah Nicole Maehrer and Reads & Company on Tuesday, August 5 at the Colonial Theatre! We can’t wait to host Hannah on the publication day of the third book in her beloved series that will surely find its way to the bestseller lists…and to the hearts of her many readers. Hannah will be in conversation with Amber V Nicole, author of Book of Azrael series, BookToker and author of Seven Little Kisses Samantha Ferrand, and BookToker Maggie Sciliano at the historic Colonial Theatre in downtown Phoenixville. Your ticket includes a signed copy of Accomplice to the Villain, which Hannah will also be happy to personalize. Don’t miss what will surely be a fantastic evening! This is a ticketed event, and your ticket includes a signed copy of Accomplice to the Villain. About Accomplice to the Villain and Hannah Nicole Maehrer: REWARD OFFERED: Apprentice to The Villain wanted for treason (light), magical property damage (alleged), and one incident involving a weaponized scone (accurate). Frequently seen with a grumpy frog (crowned, judgmental). Answers to Evie or Stop that. Evie Sage didn't mean to become the right-hand woman to the kingdom's most terrifying villain. One minute, she was applying for an entry-level position that promised light paperwork and occasional beheadings, and the next, she was knee-deep in magical mayhem, murder plots, and an entirely inappropriate crush on her brooding, sharp-jawed, walking disaster of a boss. Now, with a magical prophecy unraveling, assassins showing up in the break room, and a suspicious amount of frogs wearing crowns, Evie has to figure out how to survive her job without setting the kingdom on fire--or her dignity, which is hanging by a very sarcastic thread. Being evil-adjacent was never part of the five-year plan. But then again...neither was falling for The Villain. A magical office comedy with grumpy bosses, snarky frogs, and definitely-not-feelings. Hannah Nicole Maehrer—or as TikTok Knows her, @hannahnicolemae—is a #1 New York Times bestselling fantasy romance author and BookToker with a propensity for villains. When she’s not creating bookish comedy skits about Villains and Assistants, she’s writing to Taylor Swift songs. Her biggest passions in life include romance, magic, laughter, and finding ways to include them all in everything she creates. Most days you can find her with her head in the clouds and a pen in her hand. Information Source: Reads & Company | eventbrite

We will tell stories, share photos, and delight in the music of a string quartet made up of new and old friends. Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend and introduce them to our work, as well. We'll have books for sale. There will be light snacks and beverages on hand. Tickets are free, but required, so register soon and let us know we can look forward to seeing you!
