He is also the winner of the 2016 WBIN Family Guy Impression Contest. No one knows what that is, and you probably won't find anything about it online, but it was totally a thing. People were there. Felix Jakob: @felixjakobcomedy Starting out in the Amsterdam Comedy Scene back in 2021, Felix has been equally dazzling and weirding out Berlin Comedy audiences since his move here in 2022 and quick detour to a psychiatric hospital in 2023. Off weed and high on lexapro since then, he’s been trying to perfect his abstract, dark and stupid stage presence and jokes. For good and bad, he is definitely unlike any other comedian in Berlin. Kinky Soul Reading Night is an open stage that provides an inclusive space for kinky self-expression through literature and performance. Performers are invited to share their original works, personal favorite kinky poems, and short texts. So viele Möglichkeiten gab es bereits in der Geschichte, das Blatt ein für alle mal zu wenden – weg von Krieg, weg von Aufrüstung, weg von Militarisierung- aber nein, noch ist der Funke nicht übergesprungen, schließlich ist der Tod ja auch ein Meister aus Deutschland. Krieg und Kapitalismus, ein eng verknüpftes Trauerspiel. Wir tauchen ein in den Salat der vergangenen Jahrzehnte und stehen diesmal einem Unternehmen mit Tat und Rat zur Seite: Rheinmetall, einer der größten Waffenexporteuere der Welt, kaum ein Krieg wurde in der Welt in den letzten hundert Jahren nicht mit Waffen von Rheinmetall ausgestattet und versorgt. Trotz Zeit, trotz Rat, Rheinmetall war immer am Start. Doch die, die sich dagegen auflehnen, sagen: Nein, zum Krieg, die gibt und gab es ebenfalls schon immer. Yeri Anarika Vargas (Mexiko-Stadt, 1977) ist Tänzerin, Tanzlehrerin und Choreografin. Sie wurde an der Academia de la Danza Mexicana und in Frankreich von Xavier Francis und am Centre National de la Danse Contemporaine d'Angers ausgebildet. Sie leitete über zwanzig internationale Werkstätten zu zeitgenössischem Tanz und Tanztheater und organisiert seit 2010 Video- und Tanzprojekte im Bereich der kulturellen und politischen Bildung für Kinder und Jugendliche. Das Tanzstück „Entwaffnet“ ist zum ersten Mal in Berlin zu sehen. Es setzt sich mit weiblichen und männlichen Körpern auseinander, die in der Bewegung Geschlechter- und Machtbilder inmitten eines Schlachtfelds konstruieren, in dem die Körper allmählich nicht mehr kämpfen, sondern einander ergänzen. Das Stück hinterfragt soziale Konstrukte und starr definierte Geschlechtsidentitäten und postuliert den androgynen Körper als Symbol der Einheit. Auf humorvoller Weise regt das Stück dazu an, über die große Vielfalt an menschlichen Identitäten nachzudenken. Eric Fennell lebt seit 2010 in Berlin. www.ericfennell.com Hansol Cho, Klavier Die Pianistin Hansol Cho entdeckte ihre Liebe zum Klavier bereits im Alter von sechs Jahren. Ihre Begabung eröffnete ihr den Weg zur Yewon Middle School of Arts. Die schulische Laufbahn beendete sie an der Seoul High School of Arts und wurde während des Bachelorstudiums am College of Music der Ewha Womans University für ihre hervorragende künstlerische Leistungen mit Stipendien gefördert. 2015 kam Hansol Cho nach Deutschland, schloss den Master Klavier solo als auch Kammermusik an der Universität der Künste Berlin ab und absolvierte im Anschluss den Masterstudiengang in Liedgestaltung/Klavierkammermusik an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“. Die akademische Ausbildung beendete Hansol Cho mit dem Konzertexamen Global Art Song an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. Einem ersten solistischen Konzert mit 12 Jahren in der Kumho Art Hall in Seoul folgten zahlreiche Solokonzerte und Kammermusikkonzerte in Korea, später in Berlin im Rahmen der Konzertreihe „Jour fixe – Musik am Nachmittag“ im Musikinstrumentenmuseum SIMPK. 2018 war sie eingeladen, als Solistin beim The 11th Gimhae International Music Festival zu spielen. Regelmäßige Kammermusikkonzerte und Liederabende mit Hansol Cho fanden u.a. in der Berliner Philharmonie und weiteren Konzertsälen Berlins, in Leipzig, Dresden, Rheinsberg, Essen, Wien, Budapest, Praha, Teplice und Bern statt. Les Fleurs du Mal (The Flowers of Evil) by Charles Baudelaire is one of the milestones of world literature. First published in Paris in 1857, the volume caused a scandal that led to Baudelaire being taken to court. Despite these less than auspicious beginnings, the poems were to have an enormous impact. In literature as well as in art, they laid the foundations for a new aesthetic that overturned the traditional idea of the oneness of the beautiful and the good. Taking Odilon Redon’s charcoal drawing Fleur du Mal (c. 1890) in the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection as its starting point, the exhibition takes the visitor on a journey through the art of the early modernist period all the way to contemporary works that shed light on the various aspects of Baudelaire’s aesthetics as well as its after- and side effects. In addition to a small selection of works that were created as a direct response to his poems, the exhibition focuses on specific themes that are central to Les Fleurs du Mal.

Toby Ziegler (b. 1972) brings together motifs derived from a wide range of sources, including photographs of the Freud family, Spanish still-life paintings, Dutch Old Masters and Nineteenth Century landscape paintings. He uses the computer to generate new forms and pictorial spaces, playing with facetted structures for his sculptures and manipulating layers of pattern for his two dimensional works. The physical realisation of these digital forms allows mistakes and idiosyncrasies to creep into the rigorous schematic process and to erase the clear distinction between figuration and abstraction. Ziegler revels in the slippages between the virtual and the actual, and furthermore in the very physical acts of decomposing, distorting, and damaging the materials. While Ziegler provides the viewer with some access to follow his path he intentionally leaves room for personal interpretation.
