Join us for an enchanting evening of heart-stirring Kirtan / World Devotional Music and divine melodies. Immerse yourself in the captivating rhythms and ancient devotional chants that will transport you to a state of pure bliss. Such pure joy & love coming through the music. Unlike any other Kirtan we've been to! I'm no musician but found so much joy by just letting go into the songs and mantras! I experienced such an energy surge through my body and felt a deeper connection to everything. **
To be notified about future Oneder Kirtan events join the mailing list here: https://bit.ly/3XkOqBX This music provides a chance for us to transcend our human boundaries. It speaks to the core of us, reminding us that there truly is no separation and deep within we are all one. We sing world heart mantras from the sacred traditions of India, Polynesia, Western & Native America. The word mantra derives from Sanskrit, which is divided into “man” meaning mind and “tra” meaning to free from. Mantras are quite literally tools to free the mind. Kirtan digs into the heart’s deepest well to touch and be touched by the Divine Unifying Presence. Singing these powerful healing mantras together, we have the opportunity to merge with the sound and true essence of oneness & love that these rhythmic ancient songs open within us. 🌞 7:30 -9 pm. *Doors open at 7:15pm* 🌞 $15 Online $20 Door 🌞 Over 18 Event - We are asking that children please stay home or have babysitters so that mum and dad can get the most out of the evening. Let's get together in honour of the light within us all! This event is followed by an evening of Kirtan World Heart Music and warm tea!

The White Hart Speaker Series: Richard Russo, LIFE AND ART | The White Hart
Jun 3, 2025 (UTC-5)ENDED
White
Presented in partnership with The White Hart Inn, Scoville Memorial Library & WAMC On The Road. Tickets $15: Include a complimentary glass of house wine, beer or non alcoholic beverage plus a $5 voucher towards the purchase of LIFE AND ART at this event. Pulitzer Prize-winner and bestselling author Richard Russo will talk about his marvelous new essay collection with WAMC's Joe Donahue.Life and Art—these are the twin subjects considered in Richard Russo’s twelve masterful new essays—how they inform each other and how the stories we tell ourselves about both shape our understanding of the world around us. In “The Lives of Others,” he reflects on the implacable fact that writers use people, insisting that what matters, in the end, is how and for what purpose. How do you bridge the gap between what you know and what you don’t, and sometimes can’t, know? Why tell a story in the first place? What we don’t understand, Russo opines, is in fact the very thing that beckons to us. Rick Russo is the author of six previous novels and The Whore's Child, a collection of stories. In 2002, he received the Pulitzer Prize for Empire Falls. He lives with his wife in Camden, Maine, and Boston. Photo credit Elena Seibert. Joe Donahue talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human gets - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book. The White Hart Inn is a fully wheelchair accessible space with on-site van accessible parking. Microphones and speakers will be used at this event. If you have specific questions about the space or how an event can be made more accessible to you, please do not hesitate to contact us: info@oblongbooks.com.

Mindful Art Workshop for Kids (6-10 Yrs) | 2 Nannine Ave
Jun 15, 2025 (UTC+8)ENDED
White
Welcome to Hands & Hearts Space! Date: 15/06/2025 Time: 10am-12pm Location: 2 Nannine Avenue, White Gum Valley, WA 6162 About Us:
Hands & Hearts Space offers mindful art workshops for children, providing a safe and supportive environment for self-expression, emotional growth, and resilience. Each workshop is thoughtfully designed to help children explore and express their thoughts and feelings in a healthy, creative way. Through a blend of art and mindfulness-based activities, we empower young minds to navigate their emotions, build confidence, and foster meaningful connections with themselves and others. About the Founder: Hello, I’m Annabelle!
I’m a registered teacher, artist, and passionate advocate for the transformative power of creativity. With a background in education, fine art and certification in therapeutic art practices, I’ve combined my expertise to create a supportive space where children can freely express themselves, build confidence, and develop emotional resilience through art and mindfulness. Is This Workshop Right for Your Child?
Our Mindful Art Workshop is designed for children aged 6-10 years of age.
This session is especially helpful for:
✨ Fostering creativity and playfulness – Inspiring imagination and open-ended exploration, giving children the freedom to express themselves. ✨ Encouraging social connection – Providing a safe space for children to interact, collaborate, and build friendships through shared creative experiences. ✨ Navigating emotional difficulties – such as anxiety, self-doubt, or social difficulties, and seeking gentle strategies for managing big emotions.
✨ Neurodivergence – including children who resonate with traits of autism, ADHD, or other neurodifferences (with or without a formal diagnosis).
✨ Adjusting to life changes – including shifts in school, friendships, or family dynamics. What This Workshop Isn’t:
This isn’t a traditional art class, so children won’t be focusing on improving artistic skills or producing refined art projects. Instead, the emphasis is on using the art process as a mindful tool for self-exploration and reflection, encouraging kids to express themselves freely without worrying about the end result. Who May Find This Workshop Unsuitable:
Our goal is to provide a welcoming and supportive space for all children. However, this group may not be the best fit for those currently experiencing more serious mental health challenges. If your child requires additional support, we recommend consulting a psychologist or psychiatrist. Your GP can provide a referral to connect you with the right services. If you're unsure whether this group is the right fit, please feel free to reach out—we're happy to chat and help guide you toward the best support for your child. You’re welcome to message us on Instagram (@handsandheartspace) with any questions. What to Bring: An apron or an old T-shirt to protect your clothes from art materials (a few spare aprons will be available if needed).A sealed water bottle.Comfortable clothing.

How do we encounter one another? What happens when we come across somebody in a fleeting moment and it lapses?
Splintered in the Trace is a poetic exploration into memory and human connection which examines the temporality of the encounter and investigates unforeseen opportunities which occur or pass by in the smaller moments of life.
Splintered in the Trace: Installation (Black Lab) is an audio-visual experience which uses objects, soundscapes, still and moving images to invite its audience into a tactile surreal world.
Duration: continuous. 2pm - 8.00pm. Black Lab - No booking required
Splintered in the Trace: Short Film (White Lab)
A puppeteer uses marionettes to reimagine a lost encounter whilst a man meanders the city's connecting points, searching for new encounters through a space visor.
