夜遊関西:“The Kuroshio Market, not far from Wakayama, is a classic tourist attraction. The tuna there is a specialty, fresher and cheaper than the Kuromon Market in Osaka. You can use the Kansai Pass and take the bus for free.”
毛豆好好:“The name of Kisai Temple comes from "a temple with three wells in Kishu". It is a Buddhist building built in 770. It has a history of more than 1,250 years and is the second temple on Japan's oldest pilgrimage route. It is the cherry blossoms in Wakayama in spring and maple leaves in autumn. Climbing 231 steps, you can overlook Utaura Bay. The beautiful scenery of the temple is amazing. There is also the world's largest upright wooden sculpture of Buddha-Eleven-faced Thousand-armed Guanyin❗️”
Opening hours: 09:00-17:30 (admission ends at 17:00)
msms:“Night cherry blossoms + night market = beautiful scenery + delicious food. This experience is really worth it!
410 yen to go up to the castle tower, there are many exhibits, and the 3rd floor is a great viewing spot, with a panoramic view of the entire Wakayama city”
南山先生的奇妙旅程:“The Little Prince Museum is a replacement! Check in at the super romantic Europa World!
Wakayama Europa Port Port Yolopar
🌟Admission is free, but you need to buy a ticket for the rides or a one-day ticket
🌟It is most convenient to take a bus from Wakayama City Station!

M32***23:“The garden itself is impressive (a bunch of shaped pine trees), but the view is incredible. You can get a much better view (without paying the Y600 fee) by taking a hidden path on the adjacent promontory (see attached pictures). I also recommend taking a stroll into the hidden valley in the hills to get a real and picturesque feel of an ancient Japanese village. If you don't have a car, you can take bus number 30 to reach the area. It's well worth it.”
Zkevin185:“I went there once a few years ago, but this time I felt like it had deteriorated.
The park hasn't changed much overall. The new Mario Land was incredibly crowded, which really impacted the experience. It felt like the hot weather and the crowds were so intense, and the park staff seemed tired, so the atmosphere wasn't as energetic as it was a few years ago.
I was tired after just two rides, so I bought a few things and left. I feel like the ticket prices are getting more and more expensive, and it's not worth it.”
armsman:“It's quite interesting to take a trip. You can take the JR from downtown to Wakayama and then transfer (pay attention to the Kansai Express train, don't take it to the airport). There is a yakiniku set meal restaurant outside Kishi. The price is not cheap, but the meat tastes good, and the boss and his wife are quite polite. The rest is to take pictures and look around. Two hours is enough to get out of Wakayama.”
136***05:“I went once in April. Because it was at night and time was limited, I only visited one or two pavilions. This time, I went again in July while taking students on a study tour. It was incredibly hot, and the experience was much worse than in April. The entrance line alone took almost two hours, and even after entering, there were still many lines. Combined with the weather, I was exhausted by the end. However, each pavilion had its own unique charm. I hope to visit again someday.”
