Yixing kiln site is located in Junshan near Tangdu Village, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, belonging to the southern celadon kiln site group during the Wujin period. The distribution range of the site is about 0.5 square kilometers. In 1959, Nanjing Art College first discovered three kiln sites in the two Jin period. In 1975, Yixing Ceramics Company found three kiln sites in the Wu-Jin period. In 1982, new discoveries were made. Residual kiln piers were found in the Junshan kiln site, about 20 meters in diameter and 4 meters high. Some residual kilns were built with bricks and stone strips on the kiln walls. The kiln unearthed has kiln mat, cushion cake, kiln support and tube-shaped, wedge-shaped, tooth-shaped and nail-shaped kiln, etc. There are inscriptions such as "...year-old two-piece system" in the kiln support. The fragments of the unearthed daily utensils include pots, washes, kettles, pots, double-type cans, etc. Decorative pattern with string pattern, net pattern, feather pattern, flailing pattern, paving head and so on. The glaze color is light green slightly yellow, or crab blue, the tire color yellow and white, according to the glaze color analysis, is burned by reducing the atmosphere of flame. This celadon tire is delicate and firm, with a water absorption rate of 3~ 6%, a porosity rate of 7~ 8%, and a burning temperature of 1160~ 1260℃. Some people speculate that the celadon unearthed in Yixing Xijin Zhou's Cemetery is similar to it, and it is likely to be the product of Yixing Junshan Kiln. This kiln group is one of the important origins of early celadon in southern China, and provides important information for the study of the development of Chinese porcelain and the ancient porcelain making process in Jiangsu Province. In 2006, Yixing Kiln Site, as an ancient site from Jin to Qing Dynasty, was listed by the State Council as the sixth batch of key cultural relics protection units nationwide.
