Although it is not the reddest time now, there are many colors, red, orange, yellow gradient, and ginkgo leaves all over the ground. Qiuxiapu, one of the top five gardens in Shanghai, is exquisite and antique. Its history can be traced back to the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566 AD), with a history of 500 years, which makes it the 'oldest garden' in the 'friend circle' of Shanghai gardens. The two characters 'Qiuxia' in Qiuxiapu are derived from Wang Bo's 'Preface to the Tengwang Pavilion', 'The falling glow and the lonely bird fly together, the autumn water and the long sky are the same color', which embodies the original garden owner's wish of 'not falling into the blue cloud'. Qiuxia Garden is one of the oldest classical gardens in Shanghai, ranking alongside Songjiang Zuibaichi, Shanghai Yuyuan, Guyi Garden, and Qingpu Quyuan as the five major classical gardens of Shanghai. Qiuxia Garden is the most completely preserved one, established in the year 1502, and is now 522 years old. Without the red maple leaves, Qiuxia Garden is exceptionally tranquil.
