Shisunshan Cliffside Inscriptions

Before the Tang Dynasty, Shiqi Mountain was an important passageway in Chengdu through Daqi, Lushan, Ya'an to Yunnan and overseas. The mountain is magnificent, overlooking the mountains, layers and stacks, and Waye thousands of miles. The stone cliff statues are distributed on the hanging rock of about30-50 meters high and about 130 meters long, with 33 , caves and more than 1,000 statues of size. According to the image title, they were carved in Tang Dali for three years (768), which is the most concentrated and well-preserved artwork for the meteorite inscription. Rich in content and wide in subject matter. There are Buddha stories, pure land change, Sakya, the infinite Buddhas, the kings, Lux, flying sky, dance music, etc.

After passing the ancient town of Xinchang, the mountain scenery along the way is good. After 2 kilometers of narrow roads, the vegetation is lush and very quiet. There is a small farmyard at the end that can park (5 yuan/car). The grottoes are well preserved and have a strong viewing. But the scale is small.

The rock cliff stone carvings of the mountain are a free attraction near Chengdu, but they are really boutique and worth seeing.
