The route in Western Sichuan should be less crowded and scenically beautiful, a paradise on earth!

The summer vacation is approaching, and the beauty of Western Sichuan in summer is overwhelming. However, traditional routes like the 318 are often crowded and prone to traffic jams. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle, consider taking the less popular 317 route. This route is not only less crowded with tourists but also boasts enchanting scenery. Let's talk about the itinerary of this route in detail: On the first day, depart from Chengdu and take the Yakang Expressway to Kangding, then follow Provincial Road 434 straight to Tagong. In Tagong, you can appreciate the grandeur of the grasslands before heading directly to Dawu. Once you leave Tagong, the traffic on the road will significantly decrease. On the second day, travel from Dawu to Garze County. Along the way, the Kasar Lake and numerous grassland landscapes are intoxicating and exceptionally beautiful. After arriving in Garze County, don't miss the hundred-mile barley gallery outside the county. In summer, the barley fields and snowy meadows complement each other, creating a stunningly beautiful scene. On the third day, set out from Garze County to Xinluhai. The scenery of Xinluhai is breathtakingly beautiful, not inferior to the lakes on the 318 route. After enjoying the afternoon there, if you wish to continue, head to Dege; if not, return to Garze County. On the fourth day, return from Garze County. You can choose to return the same way, or you can take a detour from Luhuo to the route to Barkam, and then return to Chengdu via Barkam and Lixian. The route from Luhuo to Barkam and then to Lixian has many valley scenic areas, with the Lover's Lake near Barkam and Bipenggou near Lixian being particularly representative.
