Hyaku 々, not Momotaro, located at the southernmost tip of the Korakuen Peninsula, is the place where you stand. It is often used as a break point.

It looked like a small statue just by looking at it from the opposite bank or the top of the bridge, but when I actually headed to the side, it was a statue of a reasonable size. I could see the statue lifting the peach up close. It was installed at the tip when going around the outer circumference of Korakuen, but it seems that few tourists come to this point.

It is a statue installed in the base of Nakasu where Korakuen is located in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Okayama City system in 1989. From a distance, it looks like you are playing basketball, but it is a pose with a boy holding a peach, a specialty of Okayama City. The surrounding area is maintained as a park, such as a pond made of stone. It was submerged in the heavy rain in 2018, but it was safe. It is often misunderstood, but you can go to the land here without entering Korakuen.
