The north part of Ishikatsui Park was opened on 12 June 1982[1], and the south part (Phase III) was formerly the Whitefield temporary housing area completed in 1978, closed in 1991[2] and the postwar expansion of Ishikatsui Wooden Houses. The Ishigaki-i Park Gymnasium was completed in October 1996 and opened on May 1, 1997.[3]
