Ephesus, located in Izmir, Turkey, is the best preserved ancient city in the eastern Mediterranean, but it is a must for visitors to Turkey. Ephesus is known as the "first and largest metropolis in Asia". The world says that it is not Rome, it is better than Rome. This ancient city, more than 2000 years ago, is one of the monuments under UNESCO control. It has a huge scale, including churches, libraries, bathrooms and so on.

Absolutely stunning ancient Roman capital near Selcuk in Turkey. It's actually walking distance from town. My recommendation is to go in winter where there are almost no tourists and you can practically have the place to yourself.

In fact, the ancient city of Ephesus ruins park is a relics of the ancient holy city, an open outdoor museum of Ephesus, also known as Ephesus, one of the most important Greek cities in the early classical era. Yes, it was not Turkey at that time, it was a rich and exquisite sea civilization trading city. City established by the settlers of Athens in the 10th century BC, the place name that appears in the New Testament is one of the most complete ancient cities in the world and the largest ancient city of Greece and Rome in the world, which was once one of the five largest cities of the Roman Empire in the ancient Greeks and the Romans. The horse period was once prosperous, Ephesus was located near the Bayindel Estuary on the Aegean coast, less than 1 km from the sea, and with its convenient maritime trade, it quickly developed into the most prosperous city in the Mediterranean economy and culture for a long time, and it was ancient. Second largest city in the Roman Empire after Rome

The ancient city of Ephesus was built on the coast of Ionia in the 10th century BC, one of the twelve cities of the Ionian Union. In 129 BC, the city fell under the control of the Roman Republic. The city was then famous for the nearby Temple of Artemis, which was designated as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
