Meadows Fish & Chips Takeaway Review

Located in northern Tasmania, Launceston is also Tasmania's main tourist city. The city street buildings also have a touch of European style. This fish and chip takeaway fast food restaurant is in the city center and is very popular with locals.

Always bought fish and chips here on trips to Launceston but this time it was so disappointing. New owners........ Soggy greasy chips. Why can't these people realize that oil has to be FRESH and HOT. Won't be going here again. Who knows where the fish came from but not Tasmania I don't think

We've bought takeaway chips here on a couple of occasions. The first time we were looking for a decent local chippie, the second time we were checking to see whether their chips were always that bad, and today the place we now normally go was shut and we'd promised the kids chips for dinner. Anyway, the chips... They taste and smell like very stale cooking oil, the chips themselves are scrappy little bits, and the texture is hard and dry, as if they were first cooked a very long time ago and then left sitting around before being re-fried to order. Every time we've bought chips here they've been exactly the same. Never again.
