Bukit Larut, formerly known as Maxwell Hill is located near the town of Taiping, Perak. Founded in 1884, it's the oldest hill resort in Malaysia. However, nothing much nowdays, visitors usually come for natural scenery, hikking and the cool fresh air.

Bukit Larut or also known as Maxwell Hill is an ideal destination for those who want to find an interesting and relaxing destination.

There is not much to do here, apart from enjoying the coolness of the mountains, watching the birds or visiting the former British buildings. If you want, you can stay in the chalets here.

This place is truly beautiful. We went when it was raining, and it was really beautiful, especially since most people would go home at that time.Don't miss out the bicycles! It's worth renting the bicycles and cycling around the lake.*The bicycles become really cheap when it rains - the prices are lowered according to availability.
